About APMEC 2024

Welcome to the official website of the Asia-Pacific Medical Education Conference (APMEC) 2024, the premier event for medical educators, researchers, practitioners and students in the region. APMEC 2024 is scheduled to take place from 15th – 21st January 2024, at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall at the BMICH, which is organized by Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo in collaboration with the Centre for Medical Education, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University Singapore and the College of Medical Education Sri Lanka.

The theme for APMEC 2024 is, “Artificial Intelligence in Health Professions Education –Trends, Issues, Priorities, Strategies”. This theme reflects the growing importance and impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on health care delivery, education and research.

APMEC 2024 aims to provide a platform for medical educators and stakeholders to share their experiences, insights and best practices on how to harness the power of AI for health professions education. As with previous APMECs, we have invited distinguished medical and healthcare professional educators to share their experiences, expertise and wisdom. The conference will feature keynote lectures, plenary sessions, symposia, workshops, oral presentations, poster presentations and social events. The conference will also showcase the latest innovations and research in AI and health professions education from around the world.

The past two decades have seen the conference grow and evolve from 190 participants to over 1,500 participants from nearly 40 countries. We thank you for your continued contributions and tireless efforts to support APMEC throughout the years. As a result, we have had a tremendous impact on our communities and have played a part in shaping their health futures.
